Hello, my name is Sam Trenholme and I am a software and web developer. I enjoy using technology to solve real-world problems. I am very flexible with the technology I work with; Over the last half-year, I have worked on both a Linux/Windows cross-platform application as well as web application development.
I do not believe in buzzwords; as a skilled software developer I quickly adapt to new technologies as new sources of revenue. That said, some technologies I have worked with this year are Javascript, DOM, Ajax, jQuery, JSON, XML, CSS, HTML, PHP, Perl, Python, Linux, Windows 7, OS virtualization, UNIX shell scripting, C, Apache, nginx, FastCGI, and so on.
I have done a number open source projects over the years; the most notable one is one I had actively developed for nearly a decade (and still fix bugs for) called MaraDNS.
Please note that, because of my involvement in open source software, I will not sign an employment contract requiring me to assign ownership to inventions and software I make in my own personal time not using company equipment nor utilizing proprietary information obtained at work. This is a non-issue in California since its labor code restricts employer ownership of my personal work.
I will not work on open source during work hours without my employer's consent nor will I work on open source projects that directly compete with my employer's products or services.
